On 2-23 we got news from a close family member that reported that David Allan Coe had been hospitalized after having two strokes.

According to an article on the Saving Country Music website they say
David Allan Coe was first hospitalized on Thursday (2-22) due to the stroke-like symptoms, and his show at the Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan for February 24th was canceled due to the health concerns. After Coe was hospitalized, the initial prognosis was a stroke or strokes because the 78-year-old was dealing with vertigo and other stroke-like symptoms, but ultimately doctors determined they were side effects from an ongoing inner ear infection Coe has been dealing with for several weeks.
So while the initial prognosis was a stroke or strokes according to the above report, we are glad to hear that the doctors are saying an ongoing inner ear infection could have been the cause for the hospitalization.

Due to a unforeseen illness, the David Allan Coe show at The Machine Shop for February 24th has been rescheduled to Friday, April 20,2018. All tickets purchased will be honored at the rescheduled show. We apologize for the inconvenience and we wish David a quick recovery!
